For a truly spectacular private party, our Cafe is one of the most beautiful venues in Cambridge. We cater for all sorts of private parties ranging from soup and sandwiches to gourmet three course dinners focusing on local and seasonal food.

Michaelhouse can accommodate up to 85 people on two levels for a sit-down meal, and up to 200 for more informal events.

We are also able to organise wine tasting and food and wine matching evenings with a professional wine expert. If you have any special requests such as live music or special flowers please ask us.

Lunchtime bookings: It’s not generally necessary to book at lunchtimes. We will take bookings for groups of up to 12 people at any time during lunch. For larger groups it may be possible to hire either the Montefiore Room (up to 20 guests) or the Michael Mayne room (up to 10 guests). Hire charges will normally apply and the enquiries should be made to the Michaelhouse Centre manager at sue@michaelhouse.org.uk . Alternatively we will take bookings up to 30 people in the main café area at 12 Noon only. Please note that if you book in the main café area for 12 Noon we will not hold the table after that time if your group is late arriving.
